SE wont launch or load

Hi guys, when i go to launch SE1 in steam it'll say that its running but nothing will load up. Checking task manager shows its only using 23mb of ram and 0% cpu. Its not generating any log files or anything in the event viewer. It was running just fine last night.

I got SE working finally but I had to do a refresh of Windows. That was the only thing that worked

If the issue does return, please try the workaround mentioned in the following link (rolling back to the previous Windows update), as this appears to be the main cause of the issue, and several other players have confirmed that it resolved the problem for them;

We have also reported this issue internally. Once a fix has been implemented, we will update the above-mentioned report, so please keep an eye on it for any future updates.
