Troubles Starting SE after latest update

Investigating

After this last update "Economy 2" I can't seem to start Space Engineers properly.

When I click play on SE it appears to start normally according to steam but no window or SE ever actually appears.

I checked my task manager and it appears to be running under background processes with nothing more than 20.1MB of RAM usage. a04c5987b510ce71a7de63fdc5b83654

I have tried verifying files on steam and that returned nothing. I have also tried clearing my shader cache and have checked that my drivers are up to date.

I am very keen to play this new update but for the moment it seems that I can't. :(

Thank you for reaching our forum.

In order for us to properly investigate this issue, could you please share a log file from one of the affected game sessions?

You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

I have the same issue, the game launches as a background process.

I'm on Windows 11. System info from the srttings app below and I've attached a log

EditionWindows 11 Pro

Version25H2

Installed on‎09/‎08/‎2025

OS build26200.8328

Nice and it looks like your got a little bit further than mine did from your log file.

Your log actually has an exception in it, whereas mine always ended on the config-end line
