Game wont startup

Hello,
Over the past month, this issue has reoccurred.
The game sometimes fails to start and instead runs in the background.
Additionally, the latest in-game update has failed.
I have reinstalled the game twice.
In some cases, I can get it to work by restarting the computer shortly after startup.
I am not sure what changed with the last (minor) updates, but the game no longer performs as reliably as before.
