Possibility to decrease inventory size

Hello dear developers,

I enjoy your game very much, especially I'm a fan of building a large castle as realistic as prssible. Since the last update, I noticed that the inventorysize increased. Now, you're able to carry more stone than it fits in my stone mining cart. Well... I think it's making my carts unnecessary, and even more unrealistic.

I have just a small question: Is it possible to give the slider of the inventory size in the map options a greater range? like, from 0.1 to 10 instead from 1 to 10? I would welcome it since it makes the game more realistic, plus I think it isn't very difficult to implement.

If it isn't possible to do it, is there a way to edit the inventory size in the savegame to a size smaller than one?

I'd like to thank you for your time reading this post and hope to hear from you soon.

Engel

isnt the default inventory size 1x, or 21 slots? adjustable in advanced settings in server set up, and changeable thereafter? check again good sir! i believe its between 21 and 210, the 1x to 10x...

Yes, i recognized that i can change the inventory size, but in my opinion even the smallest setting, 21 Slots are too large (On my carts, you can just store just one or 2 rows of items, that means you can store up to 3 carts in your inventory.)

We realized when we made the default 21 slots (3 rows) that the multiplier was going to be a lot less useful. We would like to rewrite the inventory size so that you can adjust the number of rows instead of multiplying. We're looking at inventory code now so I would expect it to change in the next major release if we do it.

Is this still being worked on? I notice the lack of an inventory size modifier I'm the world settings

We haven't forgotten about it. It's just finding a day to spend on it that isn't taken by higher priority tasks.

TLDR: what about a separate tool belt considering the amount of equipment we are carrying?

if one has these tools on their engineer: axe, pickaxe, hammer, bolts, crossbow, shovel, bandages, sword and a single food source we take up 9 slots immediately. i always carry a bed and prefer having a crafting table which puts me at 11 slots just for the gear... in online multiplayer low inventory slots are brutal imho. oh crap, toss in the shield now too? 12 slots taken...

just wanted to throw out what if there are slots for Belt looped like tools, not all but maybe i can tuck some tools on my belt? a sword could also get its sheath and not be part of the total slot take? a quiver on my back could take care of the bolts, just considering what and how we engineers carry and hold our things!

if in mp one is on the way to build a catapult it means catch blocks, drum, timbers, wheels, crank wheel, and torsion spring take another what 6 slots? going to war i am around 17 slots taken just with gear haul.

could Keen possible consider a tool belt capacity separate from the regular inventory bin, which lets be honest can take 4 foot logs weighing a lot and other unconsidered weight and size parameters anyway (the inventory system doesnt have any size or weight elements to it). i can stuff all the large stones i possible couldnt carry into my rucksack but let me keep separate maybe two or three key tools on my toolbelt? this could in theory lead to a different main character skin where if i look up and see an apron wearing engineer with a hammer on his toolbelt coming down my path its one thing, but if i look up and see a knight with shield and sword its a whole different reaction? could be fun imho!

[i acknowledge fully a small inventory is a kind of different way to play the game and appreciate that]
