help with where to make items

If I load a mod and find a new item in the G menu and click on it, on the right it shows me what items are required to make it. It would be nice if it also said where it could be made as in inventory ("in your hand" as one guy put it), workbench, forge, spinning wheel, some other table that requires a mod to create, etc. or just place and build. Also, I'm pretty sure that once I had to load an additional mod in order to make something in one mod. It would be nice if all that kind of stuff could be specified in that list of information about an item so that a person can figure it out without having to go find the author or search up web sites. And, for standard items it would also be helpful.

It's a learning process, do you need instructions for everything. Instructions are just extra packing material. Use your autonomous learning ability's all functional and some dysfunctional humans were born with and figure it out. Thats part of the game, just figure it out, think outside of the box.

Jim, well I guess it is a matter of opinion. As I've said before, if one thinks of it as a puzzle game where the object of the game is to figure out how everything works, then fine. Otherwise, if it's just an obstacle that a person has to muddle through when they are trying to do something else, then they'll probably agree with me. What are the designers trying to appeal to? I like the building aspect and the ability to make machines, though I'm not really good at that myself. It's uncommon among games. I also like the medieval focus. Some people just want to play a fighting game, in which case, this is probably not the game for them. Is figuring out where to find and build an item in your inventory really part of the intended challenge of this game?
