Savegames lost after reinstall

I reinstalled windows and all my savegames are lost even when i have done a backup with steam before. I knew the reason and its my own fault because ME store the savegames in <user>Appdata\Roaming\.... folder.
But i thought when i create a backup of my gamefiles (which works for most of the other games in steam) and restore it afterwards this should work, but i was wrong.
Could you please fix this for the future that when i create a backup of my files using steam that my savegames also are restored.
