Also I think outer extension (1.5m) is too much. 0.75m for ledges and 1.0m for machicolations would be better.

They are larger than is realistic for gameplay reasons. There is no point in having realistic machicolations and ledges if they can't be used for anything.

Thanks for the reply although I don't think it would become unworkable. But, what's your opinion about the main topic? Because main topic is about the texture:

"In terms of engineering these small pieces of stones can't be stay like this. Bearing stones must be monolithic." - I wrote it under the first picture, I think you might have missed it.

I second this request. A simple retexture the way it is shown here would already help a lot with believeability.

However, I also don't believe you can't get the battlements closer to the wall while leaving the machiculations at the same size. See image below:

Sure. Using cobblestone for everything is silly. If I had worked at it in 2014 when the decision was made I would have argued strongly against it. We asked if we could change it since we were already making new blocks for 0.7. We were not allowed to do it for marketing reasons. So we did the best we could with the artwork.

What if you guys added a new tier of blocks called stone bricks that was even stronger than cobble? It would require crafting large stones into individual stone bricks, so you can imagine a stone brick cube would be very expensive but probably invincible. This texturework would give you the excuse to change the cobble corbels into solid stone.

Thank god I wasn't the only one who found these things super-weird.

I don't even use machicolations anymore since half the time they just explode randomly and tear off bits of my walls with them, ever since the update. Now I just built my castles with lots more towers that cover all the walls. How's that for unusable, Keen?
