Pasting an image from the clipboard into a post hangs on submitting

If you paste an image into the text editor when creating or editing a post, then click submit, it hangs. Forever.
This is not under "Attach a file", this is Ctrl-V an image.
See attachment, the image I pasted is right below "It's a QoL thing"

I have the same bug 
I have just experienced the same problem in this bug report.
The "workaround / solution" to this, seems to be using the 'toolbar -> Upload Image' instead.
But yeah, the 'CTRL+V pasting images' feature should be disabled to reduce confusion, when it seems to not really be working correctly.
