NPC mannerisms
Not Enough Votes
This idea is probably way out of reach of the game.
An emote that creates individuality for a NPC, something that they do occasionally that makes them stand out, a physical habit or twitch, that could identify them. It could be a single emote or a pattern of emotes in a particular order. The expression could be subtle or exaggerated, it could also be an utterance like a sigh or blowing out or sucking through the teeth. The action could be the results of an old injury, ache or pain. There could be a set of emotes or sounds that an NPC could regularly pick from that would make them, who they are, an individual idiosyncrasy. May be groups of NPCs could have a collective mannerism too like a haka or a ceremonial salute or cheer.
I like this feedback
I can imagine an NPC squad leading ordering NPCs under their command to form a line and salute either in sequential order stating their name in turn or a simultaneous salute.

There are many ways to say hi, a characters cultural background, mood and outlook can be embedded in how they express the acknowledgement of another.
A character may:
walk with a limp
rock their shoulders from side to side a little when they walk
tap their feet when eager to move on
give you a rude gesture when your back is turned
look down at their feet and whistle
hop on one foot
Show you how big the fish that they nearly caught was with their hands
look up at the sky or to the side when you are talking to them
when sitting at a table, they may drum their fingers or stamp their fist
make an explosion gesture with one hand and make a boochch sound.
walk around in a circle reading a datapad with the other hand gesticulating along with the text.
pace up and down along a path as if thinking, and then put one finger in the air and walk away.
