Hello chad lohmeyer,
Have you tried verifying your Game files through Steam? Does this crash occurs on specific steps? Are you able to reproduce this crash consecutively?
Kind Regards,

Hi Bartosz,
I did verify game files through Steam, a few times actually. The crash doesn't see to follow a pattern although it does seem to occur mostly when picking up an item. One specific time was in the tutorial, when you have to press a button to drop 2x battery packs for the batteries on the lifts. The second one I picked up, game crashed. However, reloading and doing the routine over again didn't result in a crash and was able to progress.
Just to try, I did go back to the previous release, and I only experienced one crash and that was when I exited to Windows and got the "PC not up to snuff" message. And yes, I realize my chip is a generation behind min specs, but the game seems to run mostly 60FPS with an occasional drop in FPS with Medium settings I believe.
[I wrote the following before realizing my game saves to the C:/]
I also thought maybe it was my hard drive setup, it's an ORICO brand 4x HDD via USB, cheap-n-easy solution to a maxed out PC. I've had issues with the drive(s) hibernating after an idle which can take about :30 seconds to get back to normal. I changed the settings to not hibernate (each drive and USB) but it didn't seem to make a difference. I was thinking, maybe the game is trying to write data to my HDD? And finds a sleeping drive and crashes? No other games seem to have issues but maybe the new save system doesn't write until user tells it to save? I will install the game (newest version) to my C:/ and see if that makes a difference.
