Suggestions for Contract: Renegade Suppression

This mission is pretty straight-forward, but I ran into an issue when I first attempted this.

<-- Spoiler Alert. Do not read past if you have not done this contract -->

The steps for successfully completing this mission are:

1. Arrive at the asteroid.

2. Complete the build of the conveyor to the missile.

3. Complete the build to the control seat.

4. add ice to the O2/H2 generator.

5. Sit in the control seat.

6. Disable/destroy the enemy targets on the nearby asteroid.

I believe this can be successfully completed without launching the missile or using the fighter, which needs its gatling guns completed and ammunition added, though I haven't tried this.

On my first run-through of this mission, I launched the missile without sitting in the control seat. In fact, I don't think I had even completed the control seat. This caused a soft-lock whereby the contract could not be completed. As a software engineer myself, I suspect it is because the triggers for the control seat require sitting in the control seat, where it MUST detect that the missile has fuel, which is legitimate, since if the conveyor isn't complete nor if ice has been added, the missile won't have fuel and won't be able to be launched.

The problem is that if the missile is already launched, the control seat can't detect that the missile has fuel when the player sits in it, thus the trigger can't be triggered.

So, my suggestion is to simply tag the contract as complete at the destruction of the enemy targets, regardless of how or when that occurs. Since this game is about engineering, not about following rules, thinking outside the box to solve a problem should not be punished. Thus, if the player decides to miss out on the missile launch and simply sneak up to the enemy targets and grind them all out, the contract should be considered completed successfully, even though they are missing out on the rest, which is essentially a bit of a tutorial, not to mention something I'm sure the developer is rather proud of, considering how difficult it must have been to get that missile so perfectly aligned.

The alternative solutions to fixing the potential soft-lock issue would be rather complex. All ports of accessing the connector to allow for the missile launch have to be block from the player, so that the player's only choice would be to sit in the control seat. Also, steps would need to be taken to highly discourage the player from attempting to destroy the targets before sitting in the control seat. These issues are rather complex to solve, and it's just much easier, in my opinion, to simply consider destruction of the enemy targets as sufficient for successful contract completion.

I finally want to add some of my own comments concerning this post: https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers2/pc/topic/53619-contract-renegade-suppression-issues. He basically is asking for more hand-holding to be added to this contract. In my opinion, the level of hand-holding on this contract is perfect. Please do not add any more hand-holding. This game is about figuring out solutions on your own. If you can't figure out on your own that you need to complete the conveyor, that you need to add ice, that the gunship needs ammo, that the fighter's guns need built--then maybe this game isn't for you. You can always just play in Creative mode and just build. I like the puzzle-solving--that is part of what makes one an engineer.
