Correct Event Controller size to match SE1
Not Enough Votes
Making the Event Controller in SE2 double the size from SE1 is a mistake.
You offer a bluprint import tool but any blueprint with an event controller from SE1 can not be imported over because a critical control item has changed size. For technical builders this is a massive problem as none of our blueprints can be imported over, and now will need to be remade because the EC is twice the size for no reason. Please correct its size or give a detailed explanation how you plan to deal with importing blueprints from SE1 without destroying all of our hours of work and design.

So many things don't transfer over properly with the tool, even when correctly sized. DLC blocks that occupy the same space and volume as their vanilla counterparts also do not work. Many standard armor shapes also convert incorrectly.
But off topic, agreed. No need for the logic of our builds to require twice the space.
Personally I think event controllers should be able to handle more than one event so we don't have to stack tens of them on a single build.

I believe Keen has said that, although they do allow you to transfer blueprints, they would rather people make new ships for SE2. I suspect the transfer tool was intended to let people use the basic shapes and ideas from their old ships to make creating an SE2 version of it easier, not necessarily to perfectly import ready-to-go ships.
I also understand that they might have thought a 50cm cube might be too small for larger ships, and they can't really make different size variants, since there would be no practical reason to use anything but the smallest one.
