Asteroid disappeared on reload at contract

Need More Information

So I was going to thhe contract that I'll name in a comment soon. I honestly forget what I was doing at the critical moment. I think i might have been saving. My computer crashed. I reloaded the world from the file attached "verdure - arrived", and on reload the asteroid the contract was on was gone and the contract seemed to have very suspicious tracking details (see screenshot 222814). I laughed and posted to discord then switched back and tried to save the world to send that one.. and then Space Engineers 2 crashed and gave screenshot 223155.

Apparently the contract is called "Engineering - Lost Asteroid Base". Also this is happening on v2.3.0.2783

Hello Hanniah,

It appears that the attached Save file is corrupted, especially if your PC crashed during saving and some objects didn't save properly. Have you tried to load any backup files of that Save? You can access the Backups through the Advanced Settings:f4ea8c75451c25dc7242d7be2aaa7fd7

Let me know if that helps.

I'm actually having trouble restoring the world file let alone reaching backups. I have been deleting world files after sending them because my world list gets clogged if I don't. Restoring the folder from Recycling Bin doesn't seem to get it recognized by Space Engineers 2, and neither does moving the re-downloaded folder from this page. How do YOU get someone else's world file to load? I do agree that this could just be the file getting corrupted. I'm not sure how to test for backups.

Hello Hanniah,

Have you been deleting worlds from the in-Game Load Menu or straight from the folder?

To load any downloaded Save file, you need to go to this folder:

  • C:\Users\(your_username)\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers2\AppData\SaveGames

Then (if you have the save compressed) extract the the downloaded file in to that folder. It should show up in the Load Menu that way.

Hello Hanniah,

Roger, then the way I mentioned in my previous comment should work for you. Could you please confirm this is the case?

Additionally, have you encountered the issue with disappearing asteroid again on new save?
