Welding should prefer components over raw ores

Welding should prefere components from the inventory over raw ores, because raw ore can become anything, but components are fixed so I want to use them before the ore. Of course I could first put my ores somewhere, but especially in early game building I might not have a storage container yet or I just don't want to deposit it at my base all the time.

Agreed its really annoying having the backpack make new components when is already has the components needed.

Yeah, but that seem to be the plan. No more realism no more game depth. No more ingots.


I get the gameplay complaint I AGREE.


However, if you consider that raw ore should take up more space in your inventory than refined goods... maybe that's what they are thinking?


IDK. To me it feels like they took SE1 and they applied zoomer editing to it. All flash, no gameplay depth, which translates to a lot of disapointment for me.

Honestly I'd rather get the older refinement system from first game. The new arcade lackluster feature is boring, difficulty to control whats happening and being used and breaks the logic in many cases while it is making the "engineering" less cared. So I'll disagree to support any idea that encourages the devs continue using their new lazy system.

Yes! I'm surprised this wasnt thought of during development. If I've gathered components, I would want them used up first. Also... the Welding tool should tell you not only what ores you need, but what components you need to complete it. So if you see it uses one you already have, you can go get that one to use it in the process. 👍

Press 'R' to switch the view between components needed and ores needed.
