[IDEA] Engineer suit armor

I have played SE1 for thousands of hours and love the game, however, I did find it very annoying that there is no way to put armor on my actual engineer character so I can do some more ground-ops kind of game play. The turrets and other weapons can kill the engineer almost instantly and I really wish there was a upgrade of armor that you could put on. Perhaps this idea could be used more broadly in SE2 by implementing different suites that are more acclimated to certain environments (e.g. a combat suit, a water/diving suit, a high temperature suit [for could environments], a cold suit, etc.) These are just some ideas that seem like they would be neat and would add another dynamic level to the immersiveness of SE2 without being to cumbersome for the player. I know the primary idea of the game is focused on creating grids but it would be nice to be able to alter the effectiveness of your engineer in each environment. Perhaps still have the regular engineers states and then implement a different set of stats for each suit as it is worn (e.g. better running speed without a suit, more durable but slowing moving in an armor suit, can move and see better underwater in a water suit, etc.)
