Add ability to convert grids into stations/static grid
Not Enough Votes
SE1 had a feature to convert unsupported grids into stations (If the option was toggled in world settings) and SE2 could use the same feature as without thrusters, grids can begin to slowly float away from as simple as an impact from a Space Engineer. And it cant be stopped outside of Cutting and Pasting the entire grid.
I like this feedback
I do not agree. This distinction between "Ship" and "Station" was somewhat artificial. Grids connected to voxels should be stationary, the other ones free floating. This is more natural and works according to Newton's laws.
Btw., this does not yet work correctly. Sometimes blocks detached from a "station" remain fixed (and there is no way to move them) and new grids do not fall in vicinity of a gravity generator.

Also, we should be able to convert a floating grid to a station by adding blocks extending into the ground, but new blocks refuse to penetrate the ground. I realized that while trying to create a train track. I added a hinge to the end of a track segment to create a smooth curve, but the next segment, which is a subgrid, cannot be extended into the ground. Also fixing the next segment with landing gears and then removing the hinge does not help.
