Better Keybinds System and Flight Stick Support

Not Enough Votes

I just wanted to bring attention that not all keybinds were in the controls menu in Space Engineers. This lead to some frustration when attempting to customize gameplay controls. For example the Relative Dampeners controls were permanently bound to ctrl + z (I'm assuming "z" could be replaced by whatever button controlled dampeners). It would be nice to be able to bind certain things to other controls and even have the ability to bind controls with modifiers like ctrl. Even better would be the ability to define what our modifier key was: V + Z for example instead of ctrl + z.

Similarly, modding support for controls would be nice. Being able to create new keybind controls and adding them to the controls menu would be nice for modders.

It would also be really cool to have joystick (and other various technologies) support in Space Engineers 2. It sounds like there are plans for similar controls using the mouse, but it would be fun to be able to use a joystick and similar tools.

I completely agree! I didn't know it was there! I went and upvoted while adding my suggestions for keybinds to the post. They keybinds is what my post has that that one doesn't and I believe it's just as important as HOTAS support.

So anybody reading this post, treat your vote as a vote for better keybinds support, but go to the other linked post for HOTAS support. Please give both posts an upvote if you agree with both things in this post!

Thank you to the fine people who brought my attention to the HOTAS post!

Yeah, I especially like here the new keybinds for modders thing. That is one that I didn't read elsewhere yet.
