Can attest, game does not launch on my A770, works fine once I swapped my GPU for GTX 1060 to confirm its not another problem.

The Game doesn't work on my A750 also. Disappointed. Can the Devs add support pls? otherwise I'll need to refund, if there are no plans to add a support.

Same issue:

Same issue, Intel Arc A770 (not overclocked)

DxDiag reports signed driver (latest) and "No issues found." -- including all DX 11 versions supported. SE1 runs flawlessly, but SE2 can't start.

I have a RTX3070 and it do not work if I use it with proton. If that can help solve GPU compatibility Have my upvote!!

Same Problem...

Intel Arc A770 16gb

Ryzen 5900x

128gb ddr4

I feel a little rug pulled that second gen Intel, B580 was listed after purchasing.. My A770 is a fair bit faster than the minimum, and trades punches with the B580..

I paid for SE2 and cant play...... :(

Same.. :( Paid, cant play..

I have a A770 16gb.

C'mon Keen, Arc has been out for 2 years now, and the gamer community needs Intel to succeed so we can stop $$$$$ to Ngreedia.

Plays SE1 just fine at 2k..

Same problem/

Intel Arc a770 16gb phantom gaming

Still no support for these cards. Can we get a rough ETA?

photo

Hello,

We are working with intel to try and find a solution.

Thankyou for your report SE2 Support

Bro, just let us bypass gpu checking completly and try ourselfs. Maybe I want to play in 10 fps? Its not your business to deicide which gpu I should use.

Hey DEVELOPERS. You should communicate on what's going on with Intel GPU's. If something hasn't changed by May 30th 2025. Then refunds should be given for those using Intel Arc GPU'S. I've stayed patient and seen the whole "waiting for Intel" but that's just passing the buck.

I have to admit this is the first time I've ever been disappointed in you guys and that makes me sad.

The lack of transparency is frustrating, and a little concerning. "We are working with Intel" doesn't explain anything. They could be waiting for us to upgrade, figuring the game won't be nearly done by the time these cards are considered out-of-date. It's always something with Keen.

photo

Im Fed Up with the silence around the "we are working together with Intel bs..." I want a refund. I was Patient enough.

photo
1

It's time that they fix this issue or start being transparant, or we can just start making a fuss about it and I will sue the shit out of them under Dutch law for delivering a product that does not work as it is expected to be.

photo
1

You bought alpha access... You have no legal case.. Be nice and be patient. I have an arc a770... They are a small studio, not an AAA developer team with a big, dedicated hardware team.....

photo
photo

with the intel battlemage series coming soon, it might be in their interest in fixing this issue, or at least provide more transparency.

photo
1

Battlemage is already available - B580. Apparently the game works with those cards, which doesn't make complete sense to me.

I'm ready to mod, and if I can play, my 3 friends who also like space engineers will get the game...

They're now convinced it's a buggy unusable mess because it won't launch on my computer.

photo
1

Really.. Space Engineers won't launch on your computer?

... Or do you mean Space Engineers 2, a game that is in alpha..? Has no multiplayer... With a developer that cares enough to really include the community in the shape and progression of development...

Sometimes I have to remember that 100 iq is average ..

photo
1

He said his friends like Space Engineers. Get your own IQ checked. 99% of the games I've played are fine with this GPU, and you clearly don't have one, so I'm not sure why you're commenting in this thread except to be a smartass and blindly defend a developer who isn't being very informative about this problem.

photo
1

Maybe you should look at what this thread is about. Intel Arc cards not running Space Engineers 2... And not launching..

I didn't think it's fair to the developer or other readers to come here and conflate space engineers 1 to alpha access space engineers 2 with a specious argument

photo
1

Alright, so you're either trolling or have abysmal reading comprehension skills. The thread is in the SE2 forum, and he said his friends like SE. There was nothing about anyone being unable to play Space Engineers 1. Get out of the thread if it has nothing to do with you.

"Nick D. • 41 minutes ago

I'm ready to mod, and if I can play, my 3 friends who also like space engineers will get the game...

They're now convinced it's a buggy unusable mess because it won't launch on my computer."

Let's break this down shall we?.....

"my 3 friends who also like space engineers will get the game..." Got it, his friends like SE1... But then he conflates SE2 won't launch with an Arc card with SE1 being buggy and not launching with this quote.

"They're now convinced it's a buggy unusable mess because it won't launch on my computer."

So either Nick D. Is posting in the wrong thread about SE1 not launching or he's trolling the dev with a veiled threat that they are missing out on sales because SE2 is buggy... An alpha..

I'm not blindly defending Keen... I'm not happy about how it is either, that my GPU won't play... But I don't think posting here being whiny and entitled is productive or merited. Face it, I bet there are fewer than .5% Intel GPUs playing SE1.. 99.5% that's where the dev work will be at.

I'm still confident Arc alchemist cards will get support someday...

photo

"I'm ready to mod, and if I can play, my 3 friends who also like space engineers will get the game..." What game do you think he means when he says "the game"? Space Engineers 1, a game his friends already like?

If I posted this in a thread about Super Mario Brothers, on a Super Mario Brothers forum - "My friends who like Sonic the Hedgehog are interested in the game, but it doesn't look right on my TV, so they aren't going to buy it yet." - would you think I was saying my friends weren't going to buy Sonic the Hedgehog, a game they already like?

You're grasping at straws here. You can keep trying to justify what you've said but I think it was a misinterpretation and you don't want to admit it. Nobody is going to think SE1 won't launch on their computer because of that comment. I wouldn't have commented at all if you hadn't unnecessarily insulted that person's intelligence. Go take a look in the mirror.

As far as what he said being a "threat" - I think that's reaching. He said what the situation already is, and it shouldn't be a problem with anyone for him to do that. I love SE (the first game, to be clear). I like Keen, but they should be as transparent about this issue with the people who aren't able to play the game they purchased.

photo
1

Your right, I shouldn't have posted about Nick D's intelligence.. As to you . I'm not going to feed you anymore and.. I'm not going to say anything that could get a ban by a moderator.

Yes I do have an Arc a770... If on mobile you have to see all replies, and a moderator combined a few threads into this one so I have 2 replies..

I love my Arc card.. so making an -ASS-UMPTION James..

I've played SE2 after borrowing my media servers gtx1060 6gb and was pleasantly surprised how well it looked without rtx and how well it ran at 2k ..

My System:

MS 11 Pro v24H2 x64

RAM 32 GB

AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT GPU

AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with radeon graphics

1 TB storage

    MINIMUM:

  • OS: Microsoft Windows 10 (latest SP) 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel i3 @ 3.0 GHz or higher (or AMD equivalent)
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: GeForce 1660 Super / Radeon RX 5600 XT or higher / Intel B580
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 40 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX® compatible on-board

I am getting the same error of no GPU found. I play SE 1 and several other games with it just fine. Have tried rebooting SE2 from desktop, running SE2 from Steam, double checked that my GPU is available for SE2 in settings. restarted pc. no luck. ran sfc /scannow, did not work. Verified game files in Steam. checked out fine.

looked at trying to delete the "SpaceEngineers.cfg" but the file is not found.

Same for me, Im going try roling back my intel graphics driver to an earlier driver just out of curiosity.

Scraping out the latest intel driver and trying several older version drivers had no effect.
