Crash when placing a ship blueprint into Creative world

I have the same bug
Retried several times in Creative, including in a new game. Pretty consistent crash with attached blueprint. I am able to pull it into my main Survival game though (possibly because it doesn't automatically build the ship).

This was supposedly resolved with today's patch, but I still had trouble welding up the same ship.

May be related to larger than the base exclusion box for turrets. I had crashes specifically welding the turret (narrowed it down today). Removing and trying to place the turrets again, I found issues where the turret could not be placed next to already welded blocks, but didn't conflict with projections in the same way. Then after adding the turret, I was able to add blocks that were not allowing turret to be placed. The fact that the base of the turret is smaller than the exclusion box, is probably the reason for all the issues.
