Suggestion: Modular Encounter Spawner

Hey there, so Keen asked me to split my original feedback into tickets. Here's one that I think would give us all a lot more to do on the Xbox One version of SE ... the Modular Encounters Spawner. I'd love this mod on the Xbox, or to be part of the base game.

I've seen it in action on the PC and it's brilliant.

I voted. Bumping this for exposure. The modular encounters has provided so much entertainment to the game on PC and would breathe new life for the otherwise stale experience on console. Couple this with wolves and spiders and we’ll be in business.

Looks good, add some events will enrich the game experience a lot.

I had started in the game on an earth drop pod it's boring compare with moon (contracts) and go to space and find pirate and spirits.

In m opinion more events (random) will really more events will.

Spiders, I need a reason to build a wall and turrets.

If we get this mod it'll make survival feel more alive because now the game doesn't give you a lot of neutral ships to go to and salvage.

If spiders ever become a thing an unforgiving dark horror survival W/O a jetpack trapped in a facility Scenario would make a great showcase, or just use Starship Troopers.

Would be nice to run into more bases on the planet's I get they already have a lot of stuff going on but just 3 more per planet or double the freighters would be a nice challenge

This is why I'd love something akin to MeS built-in so solo/hosted play could enjoy what the dedicated servers do. MeS, Rival Ai, Air Traffic, and Planet Outposts are great to see in action.

If part of the base game, it should have workshop integration, so everyone can make ships and have them spawned in as encounters.

I think this is a really great idea for customization on the part of the community.

One way to do it would be to put a menu in-game that works like the CtC and allows you to add to a list, in this case, you drop blueprints you'd like spawned in and as long as they meet the criteria (remote control etc) - they get spawned as part of the encounter set.

Once again, bumping this for visibility. As an Xbox player, this would massively increase the fun that can be had.

I agree with you. I think the PVE would be necessary.

Single player/xbox desperately needs this

Still needs it. Watching how much fun the game looks on YouTube then finding out that none of it is possible kinda burns

I think the reason they've held off on this may be due to Grid AI, which is going to radically change the way AI is done in SE and the way we look at grids themselves. It might also make something like the MeS redundant, or it'll need a major overhaul to work.

Please GOD Keen this is absolutely vital. The game is a barren wasteland without this. I literally stopped playing the game for more than 2 years after my last save when I got to space and realised that the whole time I was on planet and then the whole time I was building a space base that I hadn't fired a single round. Also I have no friends and absolutely cannot stand PVP so the game is truly a lifeless void without this.

This is needed for console players period xbox and ps. 1: this would make the base game much more enjoyable.

2: i would imagine it would ease some stress off of comunity servers.

3: it would add more engagement to the Keen official servers.

4: it would actually make the in game wepons useful in single player and add a reson to add base defenses.

5: it would get rid of the need for console players to waste money renting a server that thay only intend for them and a few friends to play on in order to have a much better experience.
