Planet based cities with open player spawn and safe zones for community focused player interactions

it would be amazing to have planet (or space) based cities that function sort of like stations but are larger multiple structure complexes that can not only house but also enable players to have a more community focused interaction. Cooperative missions (multi party, or multi faction) along with a revamp on safe zones to allow building within very specific zones (like furnishing apt in city, or building a small rover in designated garage)

the game is too isolationist atm and plays where either you are totally alone or constantly under attack. Not really any in between and seeing potentially server wide cooperation at locations like this would drastically improve the overall vibe and meta of the game.

an option for the safe zone revamp is to have an anti safe zone block, where say for example if its a keen/server operated grid there can be parameters set so safe zone privs are excluded within a very specific area. If the player/faction doesn't own the original safe zone, they can't place blocks that neutralize parts of a safe zone, preventing trolling and exploits.

getting more players together and especially newer players that say just spawn in the game would give a lot more cohesion and direction that just spawning in the middle of nowhere forcing a novice player to decide their own goals.

having an arena for pvp interactions will bring more seasoned players to the area as well

Keen this idea could help a lot in making the game alive and playable within low pcu/player limits, we the players could build superstations to avoid griefing etc but that would take serious time, effort, and players (it's not really worth it for a sub-year server lifespan before reset, especially if you don't have a lot of time to play)

A good way to incorporate player furnished rooms and garages is by doing it on a rental basis. Like they get their first few days of tenancy there for free but the time factor makes it imperative to get missions completed, earn credits and afford to either keep paying the room/garage or buy a rover/ship and embark on their own journey. If the player can store items in their room and seal off access from other players it can sort of act as a temp starter base. If they disappear from the server, once their rent expires it wipes whatever grid and items were placed/deposited within their room/garage. Would prevent the system from clogging up and is actually a lot less harsh then the current respawn pod system.

mind you, players should always have access to just respawn in a respawn pod so that feature shouldn't be removed entirely, but offered as a more hard-core alternative
