I ran into this bug once. I couldn’t open the inventory by clicking the left menu button on the controller but I could open it by pushing both left and right menu button at the same time. Then after opening the inventory it would work fine by just using the left menu buttton. It happened to me when I joined someone world via Xbox friend list if that extra information helps.

There was no issue found in using inventory. What exactly is the issue? We need more information to be able to reproduce it.
