Iron crashes my game when I mine it

Whenever I go to mine iron, my game freezes up and sends me back to the home screen. I’ve been mining it from a rock on an earth-like world. It has been happening within the first 5 minutes of me mining. I haven’t had this problem with other ores so far.
I have the same bug
Mining ores from a boulder on the surface of a planet will prevent your game saving and it will crash if attempted to save or auto save. The developers are aware of the bug and it’ll be fixed in the next patch. There quite a few post about this topic. I would recommend searching the forum before creating a new post/ticket and upvote the one with your problem.
Mining ores from everywhere else is safe aslong it’s not from a boulder on the surface unless they update the game.
