Hide Empty Containers Always

Can you please expand on the option to hide all empty containers with an “Always option”. I get tired of having to click that box every time I open a container. In fact it would be nice in general if the state that you left a container in was the same state that you returned to it in for all containers (meaning universally not container specific). Example ... if I click on survivor kit and I change the view options while in it to “show only storage containers” and I check the box for “hide empty containers” then after I close out of the menus and go back to it or any other interacting device those options should be reserved as the new viewing defaults. If I want to change them I simply switch it back. Thanks
