Couldnt change part size or turn ship parts on/off
Had an issue tonight where I had built a ship with small drills, I was ready to go mining but I couldn’t turn my drills on. The ship was docked at my base but when I went up to a control panel the ship was not showing so I couldn’t turn the drills on. Didn’t matter what I did I couldn’t get the ship to show up. So I though best thing to do would be replace the small drill for a large one. The large drill has its own control point so I thought this was a good workaround.... problem I had was that it didn’t matter what I tried the game would not build a large drill... I cycled through both sizes a few times but each time I selected ok it would always be a small drill. So I had 2 bugs I think.
1. Ship not visible when selecting an access point on the base
2. Couldn’t build a large drill on my ship, I could build on the base but not the ship
I have had a similar issue and found it to be caused by the connector. After grinding down the connector on vehicle and replacing it or both connectors, i was able to connect with large grid base and transfer cargo contents and charge batteries. (note: haven't had issue since last weeks update.). Your issue with large drill placement isn't a glitch. If your miner is a small grid, I'm assuming given you said you tried to place large drill and it only placed a small, only small grid versions of the components are available. To make it a large grid, you need to start the build with a large starting item i.e. landing gear or block. The reason large drill was able to be placed on base is because all bases or structures built into voxels are always large grid. Also, if your build is missing a cockpit, you can add a control panel from the build menu to the miner as an access point.
