the increment to setup parameter are too little
the flight command are weird for a console game

Hold the direction button on slider, the speed of increments increases over time.
Try setting to the Alternative Flight control model in the Options / Controls menu, if it will suite you better.
To select all wheels, you can select multiple blocks in terminal at once. Please, take a look at the in-game help page Advanced Gamepad.
