Can't access blueprints

Daniel shared this bug 3 years ago
Solved

I'm unable to access the blueprints in both solo and official servers. Every time I try, it starts a syncing loop but never loads. I don't have a very large list of blueprints and I've already tried multiple things to fix it, even going as far as clearing my cache and reinstalling the entire game. I've spent a very long time building my ship but have no way of making a backup in case the game decides to destroy my ship for no reason as it has done in the pass. If it isn't rectified and my ship is destroyed, I will not be returning to this game ever again. The bugs I can deal with.... mostly, but this is a core mechanic that I have no access to.

Hello Engineer,

Please try opting out of mod.io agreement in the Settings and then accepting it again. If that doesn't help, please try sending us a log. Try to access the blueprints, then go to the Help Screen, select Report issue, put your email and send it. Then please tell us in this thread where from and when you sent it.

Thank you,

Kind Regards

I just tried the mod.io agreement and tried loading my blueprints and it still doesn't work. When I try loading the blueprint screen, it tries to sync data continuously which locks the game up completely. I have to dashboard the game and relaunch it as a result. Because of this, I can't use the help option on the game.

Hello Engineer,

Just to verify, does it show the in-game sync window or the Xbox one? If it's the latter, have you tried letting it run for some time? Does this issue only present itself when opening the blueprints screen or in other situations, such as Load Game window?

Thank you,

Kind Regards

It's the actual Xbox sync. I let it run for 15 minutes at one point to try that and it didn't finish syncing. Everytime it loaded to 100%, it would just start syncing again. It's only the blueprints that are affected. I've also tried to cancel the sync to see if that works and no such luck. It just starts syncing again.

Hello Engineer,

in that case please let the Xbox sync run for a longer time. Sometimes it might take up to an hour to sync all the data.

Thank you,

I managed to fix the issue but it took much longer than an hour. I had to leave it syncing overnight to sort out the problem and lost most of my blueprints anyway. It seems like the blueprint system needs work for the console. I appreciate the help.

I am glad you were able to work it out. We are still looking into ways how to improve various parts of the game including this one.

I will close this thread as "Solved".

Thank you!
