airtight planet floor

I dont know if its possible to make it so that you can make an area airtight against the planets floor,
So that we can have unique underground bases that use surrounding rocks and flooring to make the bases look amazing

But even earth's planet floor isn't air tight?

With different types of terrain(stone vs sand), perhaps only some types would act as airtight and others not. This would help more with realism but also add more creativity with underground/cave bases
