All worlds saved and uploaded to mod.io Are Now Corrupted or non- savable

Giovanni Hernandez shared this bug 7 days ago
Investigating

I thought the issue resolved its self but all my worlds which are now saved on mod.io are now corrupt. I can’t even upload anymore blueprints or worlds to mod.io

And the vanilla worlds can no longer be saved even when starting a new game. I’ve spent almost 300 days of real time building and updating builds and worlds. The game is virtually unplayable due to the fact I can no longer save even after starting a new game.

I keep getting an error message

Note:* Storage Capacity Exceeded Allotted Amount.*

Current: Storage: 3332.6/3072.0

Updated:10/26/25

-Attempting Removing Excess Data to analyze if previously corrupted Worlds become Reloadable. If attempts fail then I will proceed to “unsubscribe then re subscribe to corrupted worlds “

-if I Cannot restore world then proceed to alter Status to offline and private so no other users are affected

UPDATE: Storage partially Cleared

Removed old mods downloaded from workshop which lead to me discovering I need to Filter my current mods and just unsubscribe mods I haven’t used in over 3 months

Current: Storage 1120.3/3072.0

Alert: Random Spike in storage after opening workshop browser

Does Viewing browser also adds the file size of the program that allows to the player to access and view other player created item into account?

Fluctuations between 1765.8 -> 1770.4

Only occurs when Accessing Workshop browser or viewing subscribed mods

Also unsubscribe to massive [ mods ] saved from workshop.

Attempting to Re subscribe to a Corrupted world on that’s uploaded to Mod.io saved in a previous build Of Space Engineers.max range [2020–2025]

Update: One world Successfully Restored.

Update: All Corrupted Files Restored.

User Error. Exploit could potentially be utilized in malicious intent.

But specific Requirements must be met in order to prime a catastrophic Memory leak.

Until threshold is reached the Bug is harmless. But if need be an anti-cheat algorithm can be assembled to “Temporarily or permanently ban Users from accessing

“Forbidden Worlds” or restricting their access to The application if retrieval of sensitive Blueprints are Required.

Can be a digital Safeguard if assimilated properly

A lot of vulnerabilities have been discovered but I wish to privately Communicate to Appropriate Devs on Discovery, Assembly, Practical Applications and potential uses and implementations of New Safe guarding Practices.

Unfortunately I’m limited on the amount of pen testing due to low grade resources

When I can finally get a pc that can run Space Engineers then I’ll continue research on this Topic. Till then this will just have to sit on the back burner for.

Either way thank you For attempting to help.

Well now I must go for I have the “Need To Create”
