Mod.io and Blueprint workshop error connecting to service consistently

Need More Information

I have been able to connect to mod.io twice in all my play sessions. It just says error connecting to service over and over. Could Keen please allocate a few engineers to fix this for our community. I know you are deep into development for SE2, and everyone want to work on the "new shiny", but we need someone to actually let us experience the game as PC users are enjoying. This is a great game and platform, but 5 years into live service should still work, shouldn't it?

Hello, Engineer!

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing issues. Could you please check if you have mod.io consent granted? The setting is located in Options/Game. If it's already granted, please try revoking and granting it again.

I'm a Software Engineer with 30 years of experience in full stack development. I've consented at least a dozen times with the GDPR checkbox checked. Opened the mod.io consent box, said I agree, closed everything and it doesn't connect. What I believe you may have going on is that there appears to be some boolean initialization issues with the UI. I've noticed that when I go into the ui that the state of the buttons values in not necessarily in sync with the state of the attached UI, (IE: open the inventory and the "show eyeball" is there, but its showing all the hidden values.) We've ran into this issue when deploying applications to Azure when I was working on an angular team. So you may want to brute force your variable initialization on xbox, because the lazy initialization is buggy.

PS. I'm currently in the market for work, and would love to get involved in game development if you don't mind a remote dev from Florida, USA

Hello, Engineer!

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing issues.

For the consent to be saved, you need to close the consent and game options windows using X(ok) button. If that doesn't work for you, please submit logs.

To send logs please follow these steps:

  • Reproduce the issue by attempting to open the blueprint menu within any single player game
  • In the Main Menu press Y
  • Scroll down to the Send Log tab
  • Enter any information you find relevant into the text box
  • Press Send Report
  • Reply to this thread with the same text as you've entered into the text box so we can find your log in our internal system

Kind Regards
