Xbox X/S no registered saved games error

Kevin Giles shared this bug 2 months ago
Not a Bug

After my game crashed yesterday, loading the MOST RECENT save of ANY saved game will not work, if i try load in from the load game menu it will bring up "preparing world loading" for half a second and then dissapear again.

if I try load from the continue game button, it will come up with "ERROR You have no registered saved games. Your progress cannot be loaded."

I have never seen this error before and restarting both the game and my console doesn't change anything.

What does work tho is loading the backup save of the saved game, wich is annoying because it resets my progress a little.

What I have done:

Restarted space engineers

Reinstalled space engineers

Restarted my Xbox Series X

Freed up storage space on my xbox

Freed up storage on space engineers

Hello, Engineer!

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing issues. Could you please tell us if the worlds you're attempting to load contained any mods? Could you please send logs for us? To submit logs, please follow these steps:

  • Reproduce the issue by loading any of those saves
  • In the Main Menu press Y
  • Select Send Log tab
  • Enter some information into the window and press Send Log
  • Enter the same information in this thread so we can find your logs in our internal system

Yes all the world's use mods, yet even those without mods don't work.

Surely!

The entered information reads:

Cannot load saves, backups can be loaded, continue game gives "no registered saved games", while loading in from the load game menu, it will not give an error and won't open the save

Thank you for helping out the community!

Also, sorry if I did it wrong, I don't often do bug reports.

Hello, Engineer!

We've observed some mod.io connectivity issues in your log. Could you please try to reproduce the same issue on a fresh world started without mods and resubmit logs please?

The problem only exists on Worlds played on for a while, I'd have to progress a little in this world to make the error Pop up.

It usually happens after a game crash too, wich shouldn't be hard to make happen.

If I cannot reproduce the problem within 1 day, what should I Do?

Hello, Engineer!

If the issue doesn't appear, you can try playing as you normally do with mods and sending a log immediately after the crash that you mentioned. Specifically upon first launch of the game after the crash.

Please let us know in this thread, same as the last time you've sent logs.

Logs from the crash might contain important information about this issue and the crash itself.

I am getting the same error. No mods installed. Can start new game and saves a few times, but after building up a little past a basic base setup, getting this error message. Can use backups to get back into it, but not sure it's saving my most recent work when I exit, or whether it's corrupting something during the exit process. Has been happening for the last two days. No problems up to that point.
