Constant world coruption on Xbox

Not a Bug

Ever since the contact update has come out every world i have created have been unable to save after 20 minutes to 1 hour of play time. Creating a backup before doesn`t help and neither does reloading a save either. The message that constantly pops up says: "World 'world name' failed to save. This can be caused by running out of memory or problems when writing files. Working on this world any longer may result in loss of progress. You can check log file to find out more about what caused this error.". The problem with that last sentence is that there is no log to see on Xbox so i have no more information on this. I can literally make a world with absolutely nothing in it and this will still happen.

I also want to add that this has been a problem for me ever since late 2021. It wasnt as bad before, normaly doing a factory reset worked but not anymore.

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing issues.

Could you please tell us if you're using mods in your worlds?

Could you please submit logs right after such an issue for us? To submit logs, please follow these steps:


  • Reproduce the issue
  • Restart the game
  • In the Main Menu press Y
  • Select Send Log tab
  • Enter some information into the window and press Send Log
  • Enter the same information in this thread so we can find your logs in our internal system

Thanks for responding. I have attempted to do as you asked, i started a world and began playing, waiting for he message to come up but it never did, currently I have about 5 hours on this single world. I have no clue what happened. There wasn't any updates since i sent the report, but i will come back as soon as it happens again. Also no, i didn't use any mods when i made the repport, but it can still happen even if i don't use mods.
