Flare gun.
Reported
It just doesn't work .. And if it does, that's just another bug.
-You shoot in the air, disappears after a second.
-You spam shooting in the air, some flares hit the ground like you were aiming at it.
-If you are facing a rounded armor block and shoot it, you'll be able to see through the blocks. (Didn't work with flat blocks, just the rounded ones so far, but I didn't try every combination.)
The latter could be exploited to see the interior turret layouts and such when raiding.

Hello, Engineer!
We're sorry to hear you're experiencing issues.
Could you please tell us if you're experiencing those issues on Single or Multiplayer? Could you provide videos for the first two issues you've described?

Hello there! 😁
It's okay.
I'm only playing single player, with cloud gaming. (judging from the 200k PCU limit I think that equals to Xbox Series S)
I experienced all these during the Frostbite scenario, (Which I might add, you did a very great job with! The drone asking for repairs is such a small, yet amazing detail too! Thank you for your hard work with the game.) at the landing pad in case that matters.
Something is up as I was only able to recreate the first issue in normal survival mode now. (+creative tools) Flare disappears and never hits the ground.
(First clip)
For some reason now I cannot recreate the second issue neither in Frostbite or survival. (Aiming at the sky, yet hitting the ground as if I aimed at it.)
Now that looks more like the intended way on the second clip .. (Ignore the screen tearing, that's just cloud gaming as there's too much people using the internet at home right now.)
Only thing I can think of is that, there was a naturally occurring night time ingame yesterday when I had that issue. Now I had to set it to night time myself with the admin tools.
Will test it more when night time comes naturally.
Kind regards,
Chris.

Hello, Engineer!
We can confirm that the flare projectile lifetime in the videos is as intended. Flare Gun projectile contains two parts, the flare and the glowing molten hot core, both particles are affected by gravity and behave within specifications.
In the meantime, we've been able to reproduce the curved surfaces issue and reported it to our internal system.
We will update this ticket when we have more information.
Kind Regards
