Troubles with Event Controller (Xbox)

Whenever I attempt to use an event controller on a ship that was printed off of a projector, the event controller does not respond at all, to get it to function properly, I must exix and re-load back in to my game. This has been an ongoing bug since the release of the event controller on Xbox
