Can you maybe consider a shield generator for Se?
I think maybe a sort of magnetic force field would be a kind of cool idea that can defend you against bullets but not against missiles and I would recommend making it have superconductors and Gravity genorator components as some of the parts for it and probably for a fighter but that might be a little over powered
