Many people use mods to increase the maximum speed in game. As Xbox does not have access to mods, is there anyway a “maximum speed” slider could be added to the advanced options menu for a world, perhaps locked behind experimental mode?

Without mods, it is the same way on PC. For long range travel between planets/moons use a jump drive:)
