Stuck in merged Remote Ship

Description:

I want to connect my remote controlled ship via merge block with my base.

Reproduce:

Build a Rotor and a merge block on top. Build a ship with remote controll and merge block.

Take controll of the ship and try to merge it with the base.

Behavior:

The ship connects with the base, but the player cant escape from the remote controll. Pressing escape or F does nothing. Holding ALT and move mouse shows creepy camera movement.

Expected:

The user should be able to escape from the remote controlls

Reported this bug 21 months ago with instructions to reproduce and another player confirming it was a bug that could be reproduced. It's been "considered" for almost two years now.

Only way to get out of it is to relog.

"Thanks for the Report" is translated as "Don't hold your breath".

Have you tried recreating it on a dedicated server? It doesn't happen in SP (mentioned in the previous post about this issue). Follow the instructions on the report linked in my previous post on a dedicated server.

Hi, Yes we tested both.

This is what i did. Spawned with space pod, added antenna, remote and merge block on it. Created static grid with merge block, antenna, battery and seat. Connected to remote from that seat and merged ship to the static grid. I could leave remote control with default F key.

Hello, sorry for that delay. Today I have my exam so I had no time to respond.

I faced this issue on the public testing server. I do not know if this happen offline.

But I will investigate too and send you the world next week at the latest.

For that delay I will take the responsibility. :D

I am having the same issue merging a small ship via rotor onto a station. The moment I merge I am stuck in remote control and have to relog.

This happened so far in MP, have not testet SP yet.
