Wrong asteroid replicated to client

This happens on a dedicated server in multiple places.
exploring space -- see an asteroid. so I head over to see what it has. but when I get close, I crash into an invisible wall. come back approach slowly with drill going and eventually Im stopped and the drill starts making noise - but I still cant see anything.
hit F5 to reconnect, and now i see a 'block' of stone where the invisible asteroid is with a dent where I drilled -- see screenshot.
This happens in multiple places around the dedicated server. but other asteroids behave just fine.
relogging, reconnecting and restarting the server have no effect on the problem.

Another instance and multiple reports on vanilla servers but other admins don't seem to keep track as I do.

Difficult to determine what, but my guess is the cluster system is somehow bugging up.
