When starting the game the main menu doesn't lags to point of freezing

When starting the game the main menu doesn't lags to point of freezing. I can click some menu items like options, but it take 2minutes to appear and any other actions take just as long. Clicking continue or new game just don't seem to do anything (though if I wanted much longer they may)

The game is taking up 50%+ of cpu just on the menu. Before the update I was able run the game with only a little lag, but since the update I can't even get it to start.

I've un-installed and re-installed but still have the same issue.

If someone could help that would be great.

I rolled the game back to the previous release in steam and it's working, but moving forward again the main release see's the return of the main menu freezing. Guessing there's some bug introduced with the latest release. If someone could look into this that would be great. If more info is needed let me know. Thanks

Just wanted to check if there had been any progress on this one or if there were any things I could try to fix it. Just been a month now.

I have similar problem. When starting game everything is OK. Loadede world - OK. Reterned to main menu - 50% CPU load. Loaded world - everything is OK again

If you both have the same problem you should sit together in a chat and figure out what is common between your systems. I have to admit that while the game works for me it does take a second or two before the main menu becomes usable.
