Wheel behaviour changed in 1.187

For testing purposes, use these vehicles first in 1.186.5 and then in either 1.187 or 1.187.1 try especially turning around with them in voxel terrain and over block surface in varying speeds.

Wheels worked like a dream in 1.186.5, best they have ever been, you could make a realistic sized rover that behaved realistically in realistic speeds. Now they flip over like it's back to pre-1.186 where you had to build oversized vehicles without any friction to not flip them over.


And it's not just my vehicles, I bet you could test pretty much any other rover on the workshop and find them working far better before 1.187.

Do you experience these issues in SP or just when playing a multiplayer?

I haven't tested wheels at all in MP yet so only SP tested by me. Old and new worlds.

Thanks for info. I just wanted to know if it's purely wheels what's wrong or if it might be MP/"net code" related.

Wheels do work better, but still not as good as they used to.


Now I'm not 100% sure but when I tested them with 1.187.2 they seemed to work quite nicely (had very limited time to test) and I answered with that test in mind, it seemed really good.


Now that I had more time to play, I've done some more tests. If I'm not completely mistaken, there was some kind of hotfix and wheels feel a bit strange again.
