What happened to stable multiplayer?

I play Space Engineers in Dedicated Servers since 2015. There were issues in beta phase as expected but after multiplayer and performance updates that Devs worked hard to accomplish, multiplayer was in quite good state. I remember that at the end of the 2018 I played actively in DS, multiplayer was stable. But now after an update or two (last updates) in 2019 it becomes unplayable for me. There is too much non-constant, random rubberbanding and latency. What happened?

We've found that rebooting the server every 6-8 hours helps... some. However with the new bugs my buddy and I are experiencing with losing all GPS, inventory, factions, money on restart this is almost unplayable.
