Wasteland patch freezes game to the point its unplayable

Ever since the wasteland patch my game freezes randomly for a couple of minutes at a time. sound and animations still continue but i have no control of my character/vehicle. no menus open, cant type in chat, the game is 100% frozen minus sound and animations of foliage/thrusters etc. my game worked 100% perfectly before the update. something in your update broke the game for many people. im using an intel processor and nvidia graphics. no amd in my system. the server i play on, at least half the players experience the same thing, to varying degrees. Please find a fix for this asap as i recently purchased this game (little over a month ago) and its already unplayable now. I cant fly, drive, or explore without crashing and losing everything due to the constant and long freezing. This isnt the first time this has happened with your dlc. from what i am reading everytime you released a big patch or dlc you break the game for many users. One would think you would have learned from prior (and the very same) mistakes. I cannot find any workarounds or quick fixes for this issue this time, since the files are all new now. When this happens I cannot even close the game via task manager as it has no process or the process is frozen as well. if i want to force close the game during the freeze, i need to do a full system restart.
