Visual Scripting - Undo Hides Whole Script

Richard Gemmell shared this bug 3 years ago

Pressing "Ctrl-Z" (Undo) in a script eventually causes all nodes to disappear but doesn't actually delete them. This is very confusing because it makes it look like it deletes the whole script but doesn't. Closing the script and re-opening it doesn't help. The content of the script is displayed if you close and re-open VST and then re-open the script.

I suspect that other weird things happen with Undo as well. This may include the text of comments disappearing and unmodified nodes disappearing. I haven't been able to reproduce those cases though.

To reproduce this bug

  • open VST
  • open any script
  • press Ctrl-Z

I've just noticed that the "Undo" button isn't enabled and doesn't do anything. The bug requires the user to press Ctrl-Z.
