Vanishing Alien Planet

I recently loaded up a backup on one of my saves only to find that an entire planet was missing. All of the grids still present, but the planet itself was gone. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there any way to fix it?

All of my planets except one disappeared. I found forums on google about this too. Sounds like there are a few other people with this issue.
