Vacant Program/Infinite Loading
To put it succinctly the game has no functionality. It has nothing t show in the "New Game" screen (no maps) there is no loading bar/animator when things are "loading" (i.e. when a game is supposedly checking for workshop mods or simply loading any game content at all). There is no crash, no real lock up, just an absence of anything that pertains to an actual game at any point.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled mods, stripping it down to no mods, same issue.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times, including cleaning up after the "uninstall" because it leaves pieces of the game in Local Files.
I have waited through at least a years worth of updates hoping at some point I could play the game I payed for once more.
Maybe it's my hardware, though I don't see why this should have anything to do with hardware when I'm not even beyond the first set of menus, nor does it crash at any given point.
My Specs:
Core: Intel Core2 Duo CPU E8400 @3.0GHz
Memory: 16GB RAM
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 1030 2GB Onboard RAM
Yes everything is up-to-date
I can't recall during which update this game stopped working, but I imagine it had something to do with it being crammed beyond the gills with this that and the other thing, as it seemed to be glitching out more often by the day til it's demise.

your cpu and cpu just barely make it (if they even do). min specs are i5@3ghz and gtx 750 which is still faster than a gt1030. cpu is 12 1/2 years old and 2 cores only. Ram is probably ddr2 or dr3 with less than 1333mhz. and a gt 1030 is a "work" graphics card for pcs where a little more than integrated graphics are needed. gt 1030 is comparable to a six 6 1/2 yearold lower class graphics card. meaning it wasnt the best at its time either. additionally maybe the hard drive is pretty old aswell and has low reading speeds.
and the minimum requirements are probably outdated with the features they added. additionally it might be loading stuff in the background aswell. me with a 8 year old pc have to wait quite a bit aswell for the game to load.
its probably time for you to get a new pc. there are a lot of budget builds out there that are 10x stronger. if you can wait till october the used market will be flooded with cheaper parts due to new releases.
