[Update 1.195] Drill / Mining Yields Reduced
Solved
After the update to Version 1.195, resource yields are drastically lower when mining with Drill blocks. Before, 100,000kg ice would take maybe 1 minute with a 5 drill small grid miner. Now it seems to take as long as mining Uranium used to.
Drilling stone with a piston + large grid drill nets you maybe 15,000kg, when pre-update 1.195 you'd fill multiple containers.
This was not in the patch notes, and leads to some strange game balance. It's now faster to hand-mine materials with an upgraded drill (assuming you're close to a cargo container) than to use a ship. Filling storage for large grid hydrogen ships is painfully slow.
If this is an intended nerf to mining effectiveness, a server setting to change yields would be nice.

I have the same issue. Resources drilled with block drills have a drastically reduced yield. I was mining for over ten minutes with a rotor+piston drill setup and only gained about 20,000kg of stone. I would have gotten much more than that before this latest patch.

it doesn't seem to matter how many drills you use at once either. I have a station mounted drill set up and I got the same amount of material from a 9x5 drill grid that I got from a 3x3

Agreed that since update I have same issue seems to take forever to fill anything more than one cargo container while mining , that much so I've abandoned my current single player world thinking I'd try and start again see if this is reproduced from a fresh 1.195 game , I spent hours building a static mining rig using pistons and connectors that I am not wasting the time and. Resources that I would lose due to this problem BUG .... Please fix asap

is this a bug or an intended nerf? mining is obsolete under this circumstances. using a small grid ship with 6 drills and getting 4-5 times less ore output of a deposit! now i can run straight into stone and not caring that my ejectors cant handle the massive stone input. not good at all....

Same thing.
At first i thought my large grid miner had broken conveyors or something, so after totally rebuilding it, had a same problem.
Normally it take minute or so to fill up large cargo container with ice (never really checked exact number, 5 drills) but now its 10 min+ and it still half way.

In addition to wasting my only uranium deposit for a pitiful amount on ore I also found that a small grid ship drill wouldn't do ANYTHING to a meteor crater. I normally do a clean up around my base to get rid of the HUD clutter when I'm running my large grid ore detector. Plus sometimes a meteor crater would physically block a tunnel entrance or path. The ore would not mine and the neutral material ignored the drill head. Hand drilling seemed to work, both lmb and rmb. How does stuff like this get past the test server?

Thanks for all reports. Working on it! Will be fixed asap.

I have a bug on a Small grid Grinder, all cargo are connected, but :
1) I need to connect the industrial cockpit by small tube if so it doesn't work
2) when I had grinder or connector don't what cause the bug but some cargo are no longer connected to the connector and doesn't work anymore
