Unfair combat advantage during a space combat by using the Kiting maneuver

By moving your ship away from a pursuer's ship, they will not be able to shoot your ship while you would be able to shoot their ship. This is an asymmetry or unfairness. They couldn't shoot you because your ship always moves away from their weapon's range while you could shoot them because their ship are always moves toward you and your weapon's range. It is called a "Kiting maneuver" where you can always win a 1 on 1 combat by baiting enemy ship to pursue you.

To fix the Kiting maneuver the game must increase & decrease the range of weapons depending on the direction and the movement speed of the ship. This simply meant of offseting the "range circle" of weapons to some distance away in front of the ship whenever the ship moves.
