Unable to start game

Solved

When launching Space Engineers, I get a blank screen with a notification "Ansel can be activated with Alt+F2" and then the game crashes to desktop.


I have verified the game files in steam, and deleted %APPDATA%\SpaceEngineers, but this hasn't helped.

thanks for letting us know about the problem that you are experiencing and we are sorry that you do.

From the log itself, I can only see that you are using three monitors on your PC, right? Can you please try to disable these and use only one for the time of playing SE?

Did you also try to completely uninstall and reinstall the game? If not, please do so. Please make sure that it´s full uninstall with no leftover files in Roaming folder and the game folder in your Steam games folder. If there will be some leftovers (except saves, blueprints and such that you want to keep), please delete these files manually.

Unfortunately, there is nothing more visible in the log - no error, exception or something that I can go on with. If the usage of just one monitor and game reinstalling won´t help you run the game, can you please provide the log from Windows event viewer?

You can also try to update your graphic card drivers and see if the game might run afterwards.

Hope something of above will help you. If not, thanks in advance for providing the log.

I tried a number of things that I found by searching Google, but nothing worked until I renamed the videos folder. I have a 1080Ti video card.

thanks for the update. Do I understand it correctly that since renaming the folder, you are no longer experiencing the issue? Can I close it?
