Unable to save do to error saying I am already saving

Solved

As the title says I cant save via the save button, but for some reason I can save via the Save As button, but auto save is broken now.

I have also noticed that this bug exists across multiple saves so I am not sure what to upload to help you guys fix it since I am pretty sure I save file wont be useful here so please tell me what you need and if possible where to get the file (even if it is a save file).

On the bright side this bug only showed up today so what ever caused it was very recent.

I just had an interesting discovery related to this bug.

For what ever reason after I posted this I started up the game and continued playing the save I was using, I could use the save button again.

My guess the issue was a buggy autosave hindering me until I restarted my game, I imagine I will run into this issue again tomorrow though.

Well the issue I am having is still happening, fortunately restarting the game temporarily fixes it and I have not lost hours of progress just yet but still. Can we get it fixed?

Hello,

Thank you for the report.

This seems to be as local problem, so I would recommend to verify game integrity in Steam and and also to backup and remove SpaceEngineers from /appdata/roaming/. The game will create the folder again upon next start up, then you can copy your saved world back into the saves folder.

If this won't help, could you please send us the world, SpaceEngineers.log and SpaceEngineers.cfg ? All files should be located in /appdata/roaming/SpaceEngineers and it should be done after the bug appears..

Kind regards,

QA department

Well as far as I can tell the bug is gone now. It seems like replacing that part of space engineers then verifying the integrity fixed it. It would also seem my space engineers files are much smaller then they were (it was at 22 gigabytes now it is just below 10), which just means you guys have been doing a great job at optimizing the game files. Thanks for the help.
