Unable to launch game after latest update. Log file: missing file SpaceEngineers.cfg

As the title says, i'm unable to launch the game from steam after the latest update.
When checking the log file, it says SpaceEngineers.cfg file is missing, which should be automatically generated when starting the game...
What i have tried:
Reinstalling the game twice. Deleted all SE related files both times (Appdata, doublechecked install folder etc.) and ran CCleaner to get rid of registry entries aswell.
Updated all drivers, incl. BIOS
Windows 10 updates
checked several network related settings + firewall... everything should be good there.
Tried to opt in on 1.195 and launch the game, but same problem.

Tried a bunch more things, but nothing seemed to work. Ended up reinstalling Windows 10... it works now.
